A very cool new product by Asus is the Eee Pad Slider “SL101”. It is a dynamic tablet that transforms from an ordinary tablet into a slide out device with a built in keyboard. A very nice design indeed which should be great for those looking for the portability of a tablet that includes the functionality of a keyboard based computer.

Specifications for the SL101 include a 10.1 inch display, a truly powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 1.0 GHz dual-core CPU which takes on multitasking and HD video with ease, and runs on the Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS (upgradable to 3.2). Another key feature is the display is a wide angle IPS panel protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass for durability. For cameras there is a front 1.2 MP and a rear 5 MP camera.

This tablet also includes a USB port and MicroSD card reader for storage expansion. It comes in both 16GB and 32GB versions. In addition this tablet comes with a wide variety of included software that includes: ASUS Launcher, MyLibrary, MyNet, MyCloud, File manager, Kindle books, Zinio Magazine, PressReader, Polaris Office, and ASUS sync. Another great aspect is the 25 watt hour battery with 8 hours of runtime.
